CaloriesTracking (“the app”) is built to keep your data under your control. This page explains what information the app uses, how it’s used, and who it’s shared with.
CaloriesTracking does not require you to create an account or sign in. The app works entirely with your device and, optionally, your own private iCloud account.
Profile information you enter (such as age, weight, height, activity level, and your goals) is used only to calculate your personalized daily calorie budget. Meal and exercise entries you log, including any photos you attach, are used to track your progress against that budget. Steps and distance data, read from Apple Health or your device’s motion sensor (only if you grant permission), are used to estimate your daily non-exercise activity calories.
All of this information is stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled, it syncs privately through your own iCloud account so it’s available across your devices — CaloriesTracking’s developer never has access to it. Individual meal and exercise records (including photos) are retained for 7 days; after that, only an aggregate daily summary (total calories, no photos) is kept, for up to 5 years, to power your History charts.
If you choose to use AI-powered photo analysis, the photo you select (and any optional text note you add) is sent securely to CaloriesTracking’s server, which forwards it to Google’s Gemini API to generate a calorie estimate. That image and note are used only to produce your estimate and are not stored by CaloriesTracking’s server beyond what’s needed to process the request. Google acts as our AI service provider for this feature; see Google’s privacy policy for how they handle data sent to their API.
If you don’t use AI analysis, or if it’s temporarily unavailable, your photo is never sent anywhere — the app estimates calories entirely on your device instead.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
CaloriesTracking Pro subscriptions are billed and managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. CaloriesTracking never receives or stores your payment card information.
CaloriesTracking is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
